I've started to take aerial spherical panoramas with my drone,
it's pretty cool and the results are really nice.

However since I can't tilt my camera upwards I get a topless sky sphere.

What would be the best method to add post processing artificial blue sky ?

Thanks

There are 360 sky panos you can Photoshop into your rectilinear output.

When flying the drone make simply a sky shot before or after your flight from the ground . Then you have enough sky with the right light of the day for fixing your missing sky

Does it make difference if I take if from a different camera (DSLR) with different mega-pixel count ?
Thanks

You can certainly use a different camera, but try to avoid an obvious transition in image quality when merging in the sky.

I'm not exactly sure how I would go about adding a separate picture of the sky. I tried this, added the photo to the set but it wasn't clear how to go about aligning it. Can you point me to something instructional?
