How do I jump to the ghost mouse pointer position without moving the mouse?

When manually placing control points, I click in one window and then have to move the mouse to the other window and search for the correct position visually, which is time consuming. It would be convenient if I were able to switch which mouse pointer position was the active one without having to move the mouse. Maybe there is a keyboard and mouse click combination for this functionality? Or is it not implemented?

Hi Simon,

PTGui can do something similar: if the 'auto jump' function is enabled
(the kangaroo button in the bottom toolbar), the mouse pointer will jump
to the second image after placing the first half of the control point.

This will function as soon as two control point pairs have been added;
it performs a local optimization of the position of the two images so it
needs an initial alignment.

This doesn't work on Linux, it only functions on Windows and macOS.

Kind regards,

Thank you, Joost. What I mean is: Can I jump to the ghost pointer position before I have added two control point pairs, that is, when I am placing those first two? PTGui shows the position in the other window, so the program "knows" that position at it should be possible to jump to it. Is that functionality implemented?

No that's not implemented. It's a good idea though, I've added it to the
wish list.

I Simply move the mouse in the other window, but watch the ghost
pointer. Does this help?
