Artifacts in bright highlights Inbox

Hello there,

I’m currently learning how to create my own HDRIs using PTGui, importing the CR2 files directly into the software. However, when I merge them, a strange pinkish artifact appears in the brightest areas, especially around the light sources.

Would you be able to advise on how I can fix this issue?

Hi Dimitar,

This looks like chromatic abberation or purple fringing, it would
actually be present in your CR2 images.

You might not see it when you open them in (eg) Camera Raw because the
raw converter removes it.

PTGui 13 has options to remove CA and fringing in the RAW Preprocess tab.

This is my assessment based on your screenshot; if you think there's
something else going on, please make your project available for download
and I'll take a look.
