Hi Team,

Is this possible to check the IOS device for performance testing in Jmeter?

If so, Please support the steps to execute the IOS device with Jmeter.

Regards,
C.Jayanthi.

JMeter neither can check iOS device performance nor assess the application performance. If this is what you're looking for - check out XCode Instruments

What JMeter can do is to simulate hundreds/thousands mobile applications which are concurrently accessing the backend, to wit you will be load testing the backend

In this case you can use JMeter, choose relevant Samplers which support network protocols used by your iOS application and configure them accordingly to simulate network footprint representing the real user using the iOS application.

If your application use HTTP protocol you can even record your application's network activity with JMeter's HTTP(S) Test Script Recorder

  1. Start JMeter's HTTP(S) Test Script Recorder
  2. Install JMeter's certificate on the iOS device (or simulator), the file is called ApacheJMeterTemporaryRootCA.crt and it's generated in "bin" folder of your JMeter installation when you start the HTTP(S) Test Script Recorder
  3. Enable Full Trust for the certificate
  4. Configure your iOS device to use the machine where JMeter is running as the proxy
  5. You should be able to record

If you don't have an iOS device you can use XCode Simulator

If you don't have a Mac hardware to run XCode - you can use cloud solutions like Perfecto Mobile which has free trial and you can use real device remotely for a limited period of time
