Cannot connect to Cisco Routers

I have Cisco 1801 router I am trying to connect to. I have tried using
SSH but I cannot get it to work. I have managed to connect to my Cisco
Switches without much trouble using telnet. Has anyone managed to
connect to the Cisco Router using pTerm and if yes, can you post the
configuration you used in pTerm. Thanks a lot.
