Hi, happy new year!
I wanted to spend some time of the new year holidays to dive a little bit into ptah. I learned a bit about pyramid and like that framework very much and ptah looks like a very good way o avoid reinventing wheels.
Unfortunately I got several problems getting past step 1 of the ptah documentation walkthrough. I get this error:
Warning: could not load entry point ptah_starter (ImportError: cannot import name wrap_layout)
Unavailable scaffolds: ['ptah_starter']
How can this be fixed? Should I make this a github issue?
I tried using ptah installing from git repo, but I still get this error - also it is extremely irritating having to manage several virtualenvs within several python versions managed with pyenv, so I would really like to have it working with pip, that way I can better understand which version of pyramid pcreate I am actually using.
There are some other things I would like to mention:
on Pypi, searching for ptah I find two versions of ptahcrowd, also the documentation link posting to
http://ptahcrowd.readthedocs.org/en/latest/index.htmlis not existing. I found, however, the github repo for ptahcrowd here -
https://github.com/ptahproject/ptahcrowd but the documentation link found there still points to a non-existing place on readthedocs, what is a big pity.
Also I found ptahcms and I do not understand how this fits into the picture. Is this an older version of ptah? The documentation link is leading to the ptah documents itself, but no mention of ptahcms there.
Well, I really like the egyptian mysticism allegories used with ptah, however I would just like to get it working without solving so many puzzles. The whole pyramid experience was such great until now, great docs and I really feel like so many things are done right - it would be really great to straighten out the ptah experience to the pyramid level so it would be more easy to get started with it...
However, I would be happy if it just worked and if anybody could point me to what is wrong with the wrap_layout, thanks!
BTW is this project still maintained at all? Is the aithor keeping up with newer pyramid versions?
Thanks for your attention,
have a nice day,
Tam
