SUNDAY! SUNDAY! SUNDAY! Big Bavington Workday This Coming Sunday!!!!!!!

April 11th – 9:00AM – Old Model Airplane Parking Lot

As you know, Bavington trails were severely impacted by the winter
weather. Due to the perseverance of a few highly dedicated
volunteers, nearly 75% of the trails at Bavington are now passable.
But, the remaining uncleared trails need your help (and all the thorn
bushes need to be “disciplined”, as usual)!!!!! We also may work
on completing the missing ramps

to the new Big Bridge. If you possibly can, please give us a hand this
coming Sunday. Bring saws, clippers, pruners, etc if you have them.
Wear sturdy boots and bring your own gloves, safety eyewear, food, and
water.

See you there!

April 17th Mingo Park cleanup

Outreach time! Mountain Valley Trail Riders, a horseback riding club
out of Washington, PA. is organizing a trail clean up day in Mingo Park.

It's a great opportunity for our club members to meet each other and
build some good rapport, since we both use a lot of the same trails in
Mingo. Not to mention that most of the trails are a mess from the
winter storms.

The date is Saturday April 17th @ 9am. We will be meeting at shelter
10, which is up near the observatory/boy scout area. Bring whatever
trail clearing equipment you have-nippers, loppers, saws, etc. We will
drive by trucks out from shelter 10 to access most of the problem
areas. Or I guess you could also go out by bike.

Feel free to call or email me with your thoughts or questions. There
is a possiblity that we will also have a cookout/covered dish
afterwards (depending on the turnout we anticipate). Nothing fancy,
just hot dogs and have everyone bring something easy (chips, cookies,
beans, whatever).
