Meeting at the mansion at 11am, working till 2pm or so.

First of four workdays as there’s much to be done in our park. The
usual wet spots and fallen tree removal on the agenda.

Celebrate Earth Day with REI, the Friends of The Riverfront, Allegheny
CleanWays and the Tireless Project. Through out the day we will be
working on numerous family friendly stewardship projects along the
South Side Riverfront Trail. Pre-register for the event and receive a
free REI “Get Dirty” T- Shirt at the event.

April 23-24-25, Subaru/IMBA comes to town, learns us good!

The Trail Care Crew visit will be fun and educational. At PTAG, we
want to build sustainable multiuser trails, taking into account a
number of things including habitat and invasive species concerns. We
build to IMBA “standards” because they are rigorous, demonstrated to
be sustainable and to have the least amount of impact on the
environment. The Trail Care Crew will be running two trail building
schools. One on Friday for Landmanagers and one on Saturday for the
general public. Both are free but people need to email me so that we
have enough room for everyone. For both schools, there is a few hour
classroom session that lays out how to build good trails. In the
afternoon, there is a hands on building school. We usually ride or
hike the trail when we are finished.

Friday (Trail School for Land Managers and other groups)

8:30am Arrival at cabin to set up for classroom session. Bagels and
coffee provided

9:00am – 12pm classroom session

12-1pm lunch provided by PTAG

1-4pm field work in North Park (smaller project)

Saturday (Trail School for everyone)

8:30am arrive at Cabin to set up for classroom session bagels and
coffee provided

9:00 am – 12 pm classroom session with info on freeride trails

12-1pm lunch provided by PTAG

1-5pm field work on freeride trail

Evening pizza and beer party at the Cabin in North Park

Sunday
11 am meet at Moraine for an awesome ride
