Hi all,

Hope you all are doing well in this special situation!

Just a quick question:

I recently updated my Mac to version 10.15.4 and then installed the latest version of Pro Tools, 2020.3.

But it craches when I try to launch it.

I’ve tried searching for some compatibility information regardning 10.15.4 but i have not found anything that says that this PT version is not supported by Catalina version 15.4.

So I’m just wondering if some of you have exeprienced some issues or knows which version of PT is compatible with 10.15.4?

All the best and take care!

Regards,

Niklas

Yeah, trouble is that you have to keep an eye on which versions of the OS Avid supports. This page will show you the details. 10.15.4 is not yet supported and that might be part of the reason for the crashes. That said, it could also be a corrupt plug-in or even something else but it's likely the OS.

I'm running 15.4 and everything works like a charm on my end. The only thing that ever hangs my system is that I'm using cloud authorization, and occasionally it's sluggish, or I have to double tap VO-1 and get into the PT window to restart the cloud authorization, but that's happened for several versions now.

I too am running the new OS and everything seems to be working fine. Same issue with the cloud authorization being a little slow at times.
