Hey guys. What is the best way of creating stems in  protools. I I need to export an entire mix as stems. Not sure if this works with things I’ve bused out like drums and things. What is the best way of going about this task.

If need be I can solo things up and export individualy, but I wondered if stems are a quicker solution.

Hit shift + option command B and it will bounce each selected track in separate files to disk. Though, I personally prefer to just do it manually, soloing up and bouncing etc as its more control. But either way works and the first is definitely quicker.

If you actually want stems, in the true sense of the word, as in one file per group of instruments like drums, electric guitars, acoustic guitars, etc. I would say the best way to do that is to bounce aux tracks, or make basic or routing folders for the stems you want and bounce those. You can select everything you want to bounce and do track bounce as mentioned and they will all create separate files in the location you choose.
