to Pro Tools Accessibility
Hi, I'm considering swopping from PC over to Mac.   I'm very new to both Mac and Pro Tools, though I have experience of other dAWs.  I seem to have got in a real mess as I'm getting no accessibility with the Pro Tools demo, all it says is "Empty dialogue" or something like that.   and I can't seem to install Flow Tools either, I keep getting a message saying "The varable OS name is not defined - -2753".  I clicked on edit and had a scan through the script and it appears OS 14 Sonoma isn't in the list.  Hence the message.  I'm running a Mac Book Pro OS 14 Sonoma and the current version of Pro Tools.  I should also point out I've set things up as best I can according to the directions on the Flow Tools website.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Best

Ian

Hi Ian,

Pro Tools isn't officially supported on Sinoma yet, and Flo Tools isn't yet either. I patched the installer to install on Sinoma and it should go into the next Flo Tools release.

Best,

Marc

Hi Mark

Thanks for getting back.  I wondered as I didn’t find OS 14 Sonoma in the Flow Tools script.  Good news on the Pro Tools front, I redownloaded it and installed again and it’s working pretty well even if not supported yet.  I’m currently going through the excellent tutor on the Flow Tools site.

Kind regards

Ian

Hi Ian,
For what it’s worth, the instructions on ptaccess.github.io <http://ptaccess.github.io/> are more comprehensive and technically more up-to-date.
HTH,
Slau

Cheers Slau, and I'd just like to say you and the team have done a great job on the Pro Tools tutorials. It will make the jump over much easier, if I go the Mac route.

Best

Ian
