I bought a third  party USB keyboard for my Mac. It has a number pad. After installing the keyboard, I did voice over K for keyboard help. My function keys are now speaking crazy names. For example, F one says F 14. F4 says copy. There is no longer a checkbox in the Apple preferences under keyboard that says keyboard function keys will act normally. Are there any suggestions?

Some third party keyboards map strangely to the Mac.  In most cases its just a matter of reassigning the Option and command keys so they are in the right order,. It’s been a while since I see one go that crazy.
