Good morning everyone, I  am trying to figure out if Protools has a
templet for recording a podcast.

I am trying to get things set up for recording a podcast I am running
and need to find out the best work flow, or if there is a already made
protools templet for podcasts? if not can anyone give me any good tips
as to recording a podcast using protools?

Hello,

I don't think there is a template. Run it as though you were recording
music in a standard session. Hopefully, some other users will chime
in.
Kindly,
Vaughn

A podcast is a syndicated piece of audio and it can be absolutely any format so there's no template. A podcast could be one person, one person talking over music, two people, two or three people talking with or without music, it could be a roundtable of 8 people, it could have audio clips from a battlefield or archival interviews, it could be absolutely anything so it's impossible to create a template that will fit everybody's needs. Identify what you want, create the correct number of tracks, save it as a template for yourself, done.

Or, it could be a recording of Chris shooting himself in the foot? Um?

Ehh, enough said. Point taken, I'd imagine.

Chris.

There's not a template, you're correct.

I've spent hours trying to tell Ron the best way to set things up, given
I know exactly his situation, being I live in the same house with him.
Apparently, I gotta be the worst teacher ever, as he's just not seeming
to understand the workflow regardless how elementary I break it down.

I wanna help, but I'm almost at my whit's end trying to explain.
Hopefully one of you can work with him.

Chris.

I think ProTools is too much for recording a podcast.
It is possible to use it like a simple recorder but n why to use a complicate tool to make something which is easy to do with a simpler one?
Recommend Audacity, Reaper or Soundforge.
I use for example Amadeus Pro on my Mac for podcasting very well.
45 GBP is better then few hundreds pounds for such a thing?
Everyone make decisions but , don't know. I will not go via Protools for podcast only.
