Fades

 I have a session which contains 10 bars of acoustic guitar. These bars start at bar one, and go to bar 10. At bar six, I would like to fade those two guitars out. Preferably, By slow fade. I have looked in the manual, and things are not clear. Is there documentation anywhere that could help explain to me how to achieve this task? Thanks!

Could always do a volume automation on the guitars and slowly bring down the faders for the tracks to fade them out. Though if you like me do not have a control surface it will be harder to get it smooth if your doing it slowly but its still doable.

Without getting into automation, yu can simply use a fade out in the clip. Cut the clip at bar 10 or wherever it should be out.

Select from bar 6 to Bar 10 (or wherever it ends).

Press Command+f to bring up the Fades dialog and use Command+Left/right arrow to select an appropriate fade shape.

If you're in the Drop Box, look under the Demos folder for a file called "Fade Shapes" that demonstrates the process.
