Hello to all Mac users!

On one of my Macs running Big Sur the accessibility implementation for
Word365 and VoiceOver seams to became broken.
When opening or writing a document containing multiple lines and navigating
to the top of the document, the whole text is spoken by VoiceOver after
pressing VO+L or DownArrow.
And my braille display also shows more than one line, separated by the line
break sign.
At the moment no reading or writing is possible.

Any ideas how to fix that?

Thanks in advance and a nice weekend! / Martin

We have to contact Microsoft. That's the only possibility.

Strange thing is, that we have 3 Macs here, all running Big Sur and the same Office.
And only one has that problem.

According to a post on AppleVis, it is a bug and is fixed in the latest beta version of word.
Might be that nothing can be done until the update is released aside from insuring that the copies of word still working are not automatically updated.

Hello Davin!

Thank you so much.
I just changed my Office update channel to "Beta" and got version 16.60.
Now reading and writing is possible again.

Best! / Martin

Lol, glad it worked.
I hadn’t even noticed the problem on my copy but just happened to see the forum post headline a couple days ago.
Cheers,
Devin
