Hi.

Every time I hit the space bar to start playing my session, as soon as I hit
space bar again to stop, I'm taken back to the beginning of my session.
This is *not!* the behavior I wish. So, my question is, how do I pause,
leaving both my play and record cursors syncronized together, at the same
location where I stopped playback.

Furthermore, if I configure Protools this way, then how do! I get back to
the beginning of the session when I need to?

Chris.

Another question, How do i turn a selection into a loop file so when i move it to a new place in the project it snaps to the new tempo?

Thanks

I think I resolved my other tempo issue. I unchecked the preserve tempo after this measure button, and then inserted a new constant tempo at each measure where iit changed. Any other ways to go about this issue?

Chris,

Control-n toggles the "Insertion Follows Playback" checkbox which you can also find in the Preferences window. Return will take you back to the beginning of the session. These shortcuts are also listed in the Keyboard Shortcuts pdf along with a ton of others, of course.

Hi:
I'm trying to get the Garritan Aria player to play sfz files in pro tools
on the mac. I can get them to play the sfz files in pt for windows and I
have saved the presets and exported them along with the sfz definition files
and sample data to the mac. When I try to load the plug-in presets that
contain the sfz sample files into the Aria player in pt on the mac, they
don't play which usually means that the sample data isn't being referenced
properly within the sfz file. Most of my sfz files that I have created
myself have the sample data in a subfolder called "samples" inside of the
folder containing the sfz definitions that use those samples. There is no
reference to a windows path. Should I try using a mac formatted drive on te
PC with Pt's loader utility or something? I really want to be able to load
these SFZ files into pt because I have some great sound libraries I want to
use, and we really don't have an accessible sampler available to us on the
mac that I know of.
Thanks
Gord
