Moving audio

A+ and MCSA Certified so, here is what I want to do. I want to record an acoustic rhythm track. Then, I want to copy that track to another track. I want to pan the first one left and the second one right. My question is how can I  nudge  that audio forward so it will sound like two guitars playing instead of one.
