Guys,

A lot of you may already know this, so sorry if I'm telling you something already determined, but tomorrow, that's 3/25/2023, around 1:30, I'm assuming A.M, it was a little hard to tell as it didn't say directly, my Avid link told me, according to eastern time around then, the iLok Manager servers will be offline for maintanence. So, be sure you have your Pro Tools assets all stored on a 2nd gen or newer iLok dongle, and not in a cloud session. Otherwise, the odds are, you won't be able during that time to access anything requiring the license.

I just didn't want people trying to launch PT tomorrow, and wondering, gee, why the hell is this not working.

If that happens, just know, that's why. Be patient, and things should be restored. This iz scheduled, it's not something they didn't expect.

Chris.

Happens semi regularly. So far I've always been notified, but thanks for the heads up nun the less.
One of these days I'll chuck my license on an actual ILock key, but I've just never bothered. Cloud sessions usually work 99 percent of the time, unless things like this are happening or my wifi goes down.
Just while I (we) are on this topic, is that license manager app demo from like version 2 or whatever still relevant? Or is there something more current in the pro tools accessibility tutorial that I should check out. Im gonna need a refresher on putting licenses on the key, if I'm to do it at all. Which, if I intend to continue running 2020.5 or whatever I've got without updating, which I do, I'll probably need to go offline at some point down the road.
