I just received in the mail a Behringer X 32 producer mixer. Can somebody please tell me how to configure the mixer so I can use it as a control surface?

I’d imagine this would be covered in Behringer’s documentation

Here's a webinar that Behringer did on using Pro Tools with an X32.
They mention all of the different flavors of the x32 mixers, but the
concepts are all the same across the entire line.
Hope this helps.

I'll cross-post this over on Midimag and hopefully Derek can get in touch. He has the most X32 experience among blind folks so far.

yes. have you read the manual? (grin)
Anyway, I did repost your question over on Midimag. Hopefully Derek isn't too swamped with projects and can help. I know that whatever he can't do on the unit itself, he's doing through the companion iPad app.  So far, the X32 Producer looks like a great option for blind folks who want a console plus control surface all in one.

For anyone interested, I downloaded the X32 with Pro Tools Webinar vid from youtube and converted to mp3. Due to whatever webinar platform  they were using, the sound quality is less than stellar, but it’s totally fine for educational purposes.

Enjoy.

I was able to get the control surface portion working with ProTools. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to record audio with it.
