Velocity

 Is it possible to set the velocity of a midi instrument before you record it? I'm trying to record drum tracks using midi, my hands are a little too heavy sometimes, so I'm wondering if velocity can be set before the actual recording instead of after.

There might be an on/off switch in the MIDI input settings in the Options menu, to ignore velocity info from the source. But I’ve not checked this, just an idea from the top of my head.... :)
