For those of you who use the focusrite control software, either with
your mac, or with your IOS devices how accessible is the software?
Are there any limiatations, or anything that would make the software
unsuable?

Ron.

Everything! The Focusright Interface control stuff is pretty much
useless in the hands of blind people. Even to set sample rates and
stuff for the basic interfaces things are invisible to the
screenreader.

Some stuff can be done from the iOS app, however you will need sighted assistance to pair the iOS app with the iOS app before you can use it. Focusrite support is good about Remoting into your system to pair them as well as make changes you may need in the control software on the computer and saving it as a snapshot for you.

The issue with having people remote in is that any time you need to
make on the fly changes you're stuck dealing with customer service
etc. It's definitely not any substitute. If you're looking for fully
idependant manipulation of settings and controls definitely skip the
focusright stuff. If you can handle letting someone set it and forget
it then the world is your oyster.

Agreed but if its one of the unit that support the iOS app they just need assistance once to get it paired. Also make snapshots for all your known use cases since you can switch on the fly. I agree though, there is stuff out there that is either accessible or you just don’t have to deal with control software.
