MIDI event list and step input

Hi,

Every time I open the MIDI event list for a track, I have to also open the Step input window under the Event operations and deselect the checkbox for Step input there when I'm finished editing in the MIDI event list. Otherwise the counter in the Edit window will not work as expected. I have looked for a setting that can stop this from happening every time I open the MIDI event list, but haven't found anything related yet. Each time I open the Step input window, the checkbox is once again selected, even though I do not use Step input.

Any ideas or suggestions?
