Has Avid changed the keyboard shortcuts for the mix window with ProTools?

I'm on Sequoia 15.2, but when a track is selected, for some bizarre reason, Shift+R isn't arming the track.

I can do it through the channel strip, but not with keyboard shortcuts. I checked the track list table, and yeah, the track definitely is selected. This is just crazy!

Chris.

Shift plus R, S and M still work on selected tracks as they have in the past.

I wonder what in the world then is the issue!

This is crazy! What things do I need to check, and how do I do so? I think my mistake may have been upgrading from sequoia 15.1 to 15.2.

I misread the compatibility page on the Avid website thinking it said it was compatible certified with 15.2, but it looks like it's showing only 15.1.

I literally just reinstalled ProTools today after having this issue, so yeah.

I also totally shut off Keyboard Maestro in case something's interfering.

Oddly, when I looked in Keyboard shortcuts, I've not messed with this, but the command for Shift+R for instance has the far right most collumn, "Focus" unchecked.

I've tried both with keyboard focus on and off and it made absolutely no difference.

Aside the compatibility thing, I'm totally striking out, but would love to know what to try.

Chris.

Hi Chris,
Since the latest PT I have had to turn VO off & back on after loading up a session.
This seems to make PT behave better. :)
YMMV

It's not the OS. It also has zero to do with Keyboard Maestro. It's a native Pro Tools command. Here's what you should do:

1. Reboot your computer.
2. Open any session with more than one track and make sure that those tracks have legitimate inputs and outputs assigned and that they aren't inactive.
3. Deselect all tracks.
4. Make sure that "Link Timeline and Edit Selection" and "Link Track and Edit Selection" are both checked under the Options menu. After a Pro Tools installation, sometimes the "Link Track and Edit selection" becomes unchecked.
4. Press Control+Down Arrow and make sure you now have your first track selected.
5. Now you can issue the Shifted shortcuts and they should work.

no. I just tried everything you said, literally every single step down to a tea, and that did not fix the problem. And yes, I even did reboot. The link track and edit selection had become unchecked, so you were correct on that assumption, but even once I fixed that problem, it still did not work
