Does anyone know how to speed up the whole entire track?
Trying to speed up a voice track for a radio ad, but also without changing the pitch. Thanks!

Hi,

I would recommend using Elastic Audio on the track.

In the track pane, press Track optinos and choose Elastic Audio from the pop-up-menu.

Then, select ”Monophonic”, the plug-in that suits best for voice.

Then go back to Track options and select ”Tics” under the track time-base pop-up-menu.

Then you can change tempo as you do in MIDI for example, and the audio speed will adjust according to your change.

There are multiple ways to change audio speed, but genereally you get the best quality from using Elastic audio.

If you want to change the speed of a track, that is, changing both tempo and pitch at the same time, select ”varyspeed” from the plug-in-menu instead of ”Monophonic”.

Hope that helps!

Regards,

Niklas

If you have the Avid Complete Plug-in Bungle, you can set your Time Compression/Expansion settings to X-Form in the Preferences and use the Audio Suite X-Form plug-in. If you happen to use Keyboard Maestro, there are a few macros that help you do stuff that's impossible to do with VoiceOver alone. LMK if you need more info.
