Tracks not playing when activated

Hi,
Recently I have several times experienced that if a number of tracks in PT have been made inactive, some of them does not play when made active again. These are both audio tracks and MIDI tracks. I have double checked that they really are activated, and that there is no other reason for them to be silent. I have even restarted PT and the session, just in case any plugins where not loaded properly. Some of them are contained in routing folders, so I have tried to make them inactive one by one again, and then activate them individually. But nothing helps.
If I load a backup session saved before I made the tracks inactive, everything works as expected. So the plugins should be all good.
Any suggestions what the issue could be here?
