Hi,

To better use the resources and make life easier for the CPU in my Mac, I will create multi timbral setups instead of running a lot of similar plugins. So with a number of MIDI tracks ready to trigger a number of parts of each plugin from Komplete Kontrol, Mini Grand, Zpand and so on, I tried to set this up. The MIDI side of the setup is easy, but I can’t find a way to switch patches for different parts in the plug in windows of Xpand or Mini Grand, and I’m not sure if it’s even possible to set up and edit a multi tibral instrument with VoiceOver in tehse plugins or in KK.

Does anyone have experience with this?

Kind regards,
John André

Hi John,

Without Flo Tools, I suppose you cna position the mouse pointer on the Next or Previous button in a given plug-in window but that's a bit tedious. With Flo Tools, however, you can simply use Left / Right Bracket to step through presets. Of course, you'd have to select the appropriate track within the window to adjust the desired reset. Hope that helps,
Slau

Regarding Xpand's multitimbral banks, when AIR originally made the plug-in (some nearly 20 years ago), the only option for Pro Tools presets included a single snapshot that encompassed all parts. that continues to be the case unless you use the GUI of the plug-in itself and that's nto accessible via a screen reader. I've never read the Xpand manual but perhaps it supports the ability to accept patch changes via MIDI. Hope you figure it out if that works better for you. Keep us posted,
