dragging a clip to the timeline

Hi. I listened to your file about dragging one or more clips to the
time line, but I saw the date as sometime in 2017 and the advise in
there seems no longer to work (at least not for me). I was trying to
drag the clip to the insertion point, by doing mouse-down on the clip
in the clips table, then I stopped interacting with the table and did
a mouse up on the track list table, but nothing seemed to happen. You
did mention something about control dragging, but I could find nothing
in voiceover to do that and nothing on the numpad commander which
seems to correspond. I know its a different OS, so that is probably
what is happening. So, how would you do this procedure these days?

Since then, Flo Tools has solved that problem so that's how I deal with that workflow now.

Well, as mentioned, I'd use Flo Tools. The documentation and demo illustrates it best.
