Hi guys:

Top of the day to you all. I don't know what to do. I'm working on a
session and I'm trying to check the level of the tracks to apply
compressor on them. But when I push L on the tracks, all I hear is no
signal. I confirmed that I'm on a track with signal by muting the
track and unmuting it just to make sure. Does anyone have an idea of
what I might pushed to make FlowTools not to see the signal? I'd
greatly appreciate your support. Thanks!

Best,

Dammie

You can fix that by double tapping t and choosing scroll into view 🙂 As long as the view options are optimized for Flo Tools, that should do the trick!

Hi Mike:

Thanks for the suggestion. Is there any other thing I need to ensure
before double tapping T or fterwards? I did exactly what you
suggested, but it's still saying no signal. If there be mor
suggestions, I'd greatly appreciate. Thanks a lot!

Try

select that track only and choose show only selected track from track
list popup.

Also recheck all the settings again from the Flo Tools manual.

By the way, it's probably not Flo tools. It's probably because the level
is hidden from the screen.

If you manually navigate to the level with just VoiceOver, VoiceOver
won't probably see the value either.

Hi Chi:

You're right. Voice Over is not seeing the level either. I've
navigated my way tinto the track to check the level and it was reading
anything to but levels. I'll go ahead and select the track only as you
directed. I'll come back to let you know the outcome. Thanks!

Keep in mind that, if you have all inserts and sends showing and, on top of that, the window isn't maximized, you also run the risk of VoiceOver not actually seeing the level meters. If simply showing the tracks in question doesn't help, make sure to hide the inserts and sends F through J under the Mix Window Views. Make sure you've maximized the window as well. Keep us posted.

Morning guys! Thanks for your time and advices. Every of your
sugggestions together worked to bring the level into view for Voice
Over and FlowTools. I went to preferences to uncheck show inserts and
Sends and made track waves/notes cos I found it on "no change" or so.
I maximize and all, and when nothings happens, I did Command Option F
again and typed in the track name in the space provided and bingo! the
levels came into view for Voice Over that as I push L while focused on
the track, I began to hear minus 4. Then I felt joy swimming back into
my heart, washing my worries away. Thanks guys! You all made it
happen. I'm so grateful. God bless you all!

Best,
