Um prémio finlandês para um finlandês.
Não me parece que a escrita de um kernel justifique uma especial
distinção na área tecnológica (nem sequer da da computação), sem,
naturalmente, retirar ao Linus o mérito de o ter feito, sobretudo tendo
em conta a idade e época em que o fez.

Realmente é uma atribuição estranha, tendo em conta os anteriores laureados
foram responsáveis por inovações tecnológicas incomparavelmente inovadoras.

De qualquer forma, o prémio não lhe foi atribuído por o núcleo de linux ser
apenas um núcleo de um sistema operativo. Como mais nenhum núcleo de
sistema operativo teve o impacto que este tem, talvez o prémio não seja
assim tão tendencioso.
