Heart-Mind Consultancy (HMC) Private Limited is established in Pokhara Metropolitan city- 7 on March 1st, 2024, under section 5(1) of the Companies Act, 2006. It focuses on offering psychosocial and mental health services, along with providing short and long-term training programs and conducting research. MHC also is authorized by Pokhara Metropolitan City to provide counseling and therapeutic treatment.
We are pleased to announce the opening of registration for its Six-Month Psychosocial Counseling Training (780 hours) Program, set to commence on December 15, 2024. Interested individuals or organizations are invited to register at the HMC Counseling Center, located near Zero Kilometer, Pokhara.
Training Scope: After the training the participants will be able to:
· Handle the problem related to emotions, behavior and general psychosocial distress.
· Deal with the cases of sexual abuse, substance abuse, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS etc.
· Deal with the cases of trauma, torture and other mental health related problem as a psychosocial counselor.
· Able to facilitate orientation sessions and trainings
This curriculum consists of four modules as (1) Psychosocial intervention (2) Case Management (3) Counseling Skill and Process (4) Capacity Building and On the Job Training (OJT).

Entry Criteria: Minimum of Intermediate or +2 pass pass · Nepali citizen · Minimum of 18 years of age · Positive attitude
Duration: 6 months (780 hours)

· Recognized by the NGO's as the Para professional counselor
· This training is skilled based. The participants will spend 40% of their time practicing their skills in the communities.
· Supervision throughout the skill practice.
· Expatriate resource persons will also take classes on specialized issues.
· Trainers are professional and experienced in the field of psychosocial and mental health.
