Discussion on milia-ton-esperithon

[Psychedelic Reflection]

There are many architectural projects going on in our city and
apparently the most of them are realized by professionals from other
parts of the country.
A point then that generates questions to me is whether our place has
sufficient human resources to evaluate estimate and apply those kinds
of projects within our local area.

There are a number of qualified scientists (more than 12 architects
and more than 18 civil engineers) around and it seems to me that this
number of knowledgeable people could address many of the problems that
Sitia faces.
In discussions i had with some of them i realized that they share the
same ideas and they do want a different development for our place. A
better development. A development that can be a modern and sustainable
solution for the needs of the locals and also the visitors.
Where everything goes wrong is when they've been suggested to
cooperate with each other in order to archive a common ground platform
that can work creatively and sufficiently on approaching those
different solutions in a way that can be beneficial for everyone.
The main reasons I've heard to be exposed, involved insignificant
matters such us the difficulty in communication between individuals,
the non existence of common ground and the failure of previous
attempts for collaboration.
I say 'insignificant' just because i believe those matters are able to
be solved easily. There are charismatic people among those
professionals and there are open minded people too, that are wiling
to gain and also share experience trough such a collaboration.
At the end of the day there is not only the individuals that are going
to benefit from this action but the whole community in various
aspects.
All the time I'm hearing that suggestions as the above are just
utopic! But still i know that there is reasonable knowledge
encapsulated in the members of this community and for me it looks that
is possible to alter the current situation and make a better approach
that can really work
