Ifits the type of beat that will be played loud on speakers with listeners not fully focusing on the beat, like a drill or trap beat, then use headphones, if its a complex beat that the listener will most likely be listening to more carefully, headphones are probably better.

Of course if you plan on mixing elsewhere or hiring someone to mix for you, then the initial output choice may not matter as much, but you should still try to find something with good frequency range so that your bass slaps everywhere and not just on your device.

I listen to my beats with my headphones in and out on my computer speakers, but the headphones i use kind of sacrifice quality for loudness a bit. Since it does that, it makes me mix things better for someone who has clearer quality headphones and can hear everything

@D-shon thats not really how it works man, they would hear everything meaning that it would actually be off. the purpose of monitors is to provide a flat response so that when listeners listen on speakers with a curve it will sound better. your concept works in this case, but not really in the situation you are talking about

I've just bought a 5.1 speakers and only the left side speakers and the center are working. If I plug in the speakers to my mp3 player than each speaker is working, so the speakers are good. I have windows 7 and I can't configure it. Please help me!

I'm sure that the problem is with some settings at the computer. A while ago I had the same issue with some stereo speakers and I can't remember how I've fixed it, but it was only a setting error. I don`t think that my sound card could be the problem, because it's in-built and I have a new motherboard: asus m2n68-am. I've just tested my computer with some stereo head speakers and also only the left one was working. If I start the speakers very loud than the right speakers are making some noise, too

Open the Sound applet from the Control Panel and click the Configure button for your default sound device. Then go to the Levels tab and click on the Balance button. Adjust the sliders so that the balance is even on both the left and right speakers.

I had same issue with headset. Everything was working fine for more than 2 years, and today, when I plug headset into jack, only sound was on left side. So, what I do, is that I used Cotton swab to clean that jack. Now I have sound on both headset.

My problem was fixed as soon as I opened the Control Box (Alt+G or right click on/in the main window and select it), clicked on the Audio (Sound) tab (the second one, from the left) and clicked on the Reset button.

Hello the problem with how can i repair genius satelite 2.1 SW - S2.1 900 is in the din connector 9 pin, the cable broke and I do not know in which order the cables I have bought a replacement plug to weld it but I do not know Color order anyone can help me? If the old DIN plug end has even a couple of inches of cable still attached to it, strip the sheath of the cable up to the DIN plug so as to expose the wires. Then using a DMM (Digital Multimeter - Ohmmeter function These are available at hardware stores for about $10), strip about a 1/2" of the insulation off each wire, one at a time and try to locate it by connecting one end of the Ohmmeter to the exposed wire and then searching for which DIN connector pin it is attached to by touching each pin in turn in the DIN connector until the Ohmmeter registers a reading.

Use this image as a guide to numbering your plug. There are a few different numbering schemes, for you it is not important as long as you reconnect the wire back onto the same pin location that you identified when using the Ohmmeter Click on the image to enlarge it for better viewing.
