Hi Marylou,
I had a similar client with the same problem a few years back after
surviving surgery related to cancer. Surgery
was at age 16 and she came to me when she was 21. I was not aware of
Psych-K at the time, but the issue of constant
profuse sweating of the hands resolved. I questioned her about her
thoughts prior to surgery, and we formed
a belief statement around it: "I survived surgery and am alive,
healthy and well" as it was her belief that she would never survive.
This is more than likely not the belief statement
that would resolve the problem, as it was specific to my clients
needs. It is just to give you an idea of an approach you can take
as a facilitator.
I myself would Question the mother as to her thoughts
prior to her childs surgery and form Belief statements around it. The
answer may very well lie with the mother in my opinion and beliefs
projected
by her.
Best of Luck,
Allice
