Greetings,

I started this thread to help us keep the material organized.  Many of you posted useful links.  If you find the time, please repost them here.  Sorry for the redundancy.

Hi all,

Here is a master list of information for conducting ggplot2 visualizations with full R codes: http://r-statistics.co/Top50-Ggplot2-Visualizations-MasterList-R-Code.html

Here is an interesting post - perhaps not solely on Bayesian methods but certainly something that could be useful when thinking about evidence:

Here are some readings that you may find useful when considering the frequentist/subjectivist debate:

I think you will find most of the discussion in these papers relatively easy to follow.  Just remember that the conditional probability assessing the evidence given the hypothesis (P(E | H)) represents (not exactly) the likelihood.  We focus in this class on the conditional probability of the hypothesis given the evidence (or P(H | E)).

Hope you find this material useful.

Candice,

Really nice stuff!  I had not seen that before.  Sorry for the late reply.  The page required a ton of time to load when I first saw the message.  Others - please check this page out.  You will find a treasure trove of code suggestions after looking at each of the figures.  Thanks again for posting.

Hi all,

Note that the link Patrick sent is just a sample, not the entire book. But, the table of contents gives you a good idea of topics.

Rats!  OK, I will keep looking.  Mind you, I am a huge proponent of intellectual property, however, I know many of you do not have sufficient cash reserves to afford books (or beer).

Despite being married to an intellectual property and patent attorney, I have no shame bringing in my copy if you have a grad student that could run off a pdf of the first few chapters. They are the crux conceptually at least. But if no one wants to read it then no worries!
