This schizophrenic episode was really scary to watch. It's crazy to
think this what people who have the disease go through it they are not
medicated properly! Some auditory/visual hallucinations include the
weather man, t.v. anchor telling the person they are worthless and
that the weather is going to get him. The pizza looking distorted as
if it was poisoned is a hallucination; the cover of the pizza box
changing from "pizza" to "poizzon." The cover of the newspaper is a
visual hallucination because it changed from the man winning the lotto
to a picture of a somber looking man who should not "leave the house."
The coffee appearing to be bubbling, like it was bad for the man to
drink is a visual hallucination. Some of the delusions that we saw in
this video included the person's perception of himself. That he is
worthless, helpless, that people are coming to get him, that the pizza
man is after him and that people generally hate him. Moreover, that he
should have known that the lady was coming and tried to stop her from
entering the house by "using his mind" as if he had powers of mind
control! Another delusion is him thinking he can stop the weather. The
weather is "coming after him" and he thinks/hopes he can control it
from not coming after him. For most of the delusions and
hallucinations they seemed to be rooted from an overall sensation of
paranoia. He thinks people are after him so he has delusions that he
has the power to stop the weather, or change things with his mind. He
has paranoia about people trying to poison him, so he sees things
written on pizza boxes and sees pizza bubbling to substantiate the
paranoia....just a thought.
