network download stats all read as 0, using bpytop on opnsense 20.7.b

to psutil

hello, im running opnsense 20.7.b, freebsd 11.2. trying to use bpytop, which runs mostly ok.

but the download stats for any interface i choose is just always 0. upload stats ok. i dont have any ideas what to do, i understand the info bpytop gets is from psutil ? is there something i can change or setup to fix this? thanks!
