Hey AES,

I've really gotten into Last.fm lately - it's a great way to discover new music, enjoy internet radio, easily find upcoming shows, share your taste in music, and connect with friends.

A few of us are already using it, but I wanted to see if there's anyone else out there and if we should start a PSU AES group on Last.fm.  I think this would be a great way to share and connect with what we all love - music.  Please let me know if you're interested (http://www.last.fm/user/toddmarco ).

I also want to kind of gauge your impressions on these new online social resources we've been trying out.  Personally, I feel like the Listserv, Google Group, facebook group, and possibly a Last.fm group all serve very different purposes and are all worth having.  But what do you think?  Is it overload?  Are some resources better than others?  Is there anything we can/should do to make it more effective?

I'd really appreciate some feedback on this.  You can either email me directly or, even better, reply to this post on the Google Group forum.  Thanks!

Hey guys,

I started a PSU AES group on Last.fm - http://www.last.fm/group/PSU+AES

Also, if you're not already a member of the facebook group, join us
there too - http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=2318221628

As if I hadn't already gone overboard, I also created a PSU AES group on LinkedIn
http://www.linkedin.com/e/gis/1284087

I'm sure I'm making things bloated and congested with all this social networking stuff (I feel like Ryan from The Office pushing his website idea... haha), but I think some of these resources present good opportunities.  In particular, LinkedIn is great for students looking for jobs and starting careers.

I also started a Last.fm group - http://www.last.fm/group/PSU+AES so check these things out when you get a chance.
