Turntables

Hello all.
It seems not much has been going on here, but hopefully people still
check here.

I've recently begun building a record collection. I have 4 LPs and an
EP in my possession, but no turntable to play them. Does anyone here
have any recommendation on turntables to buy/avoid? I don't want to
spend $10,000 on a laser based one, but I don't want anything that
will break/sound bad.
