Amiga 4000 owner has a question

Does anyone know the current position of Commodore?? Who bought them (if any)??
Will production continue on hardware?? Are we still supported by companys like
GVP, NewTek, etc.?? What does the future look like for us Amiga owners?? I'm
planning to get a scanner (flatbed) for my A4000 but I want to know if Amiga
will be around before I go ahead and make this upgrade investment in my Amiga.
Please tell me everything you know about their current position and status. I
have not been on the net for a while. Also has anyone programmed any games for
the Amiga using AMOS PRO?? I just installed this on my Amiga 4000, and when I
go home at the end of this semester I would like to start development on my
video game ideas. If you have, whatr type of games have you designed? Any side-
scrolling adventure?? How about fighting games (ie Street Fighter II) Are there
any AMOS clubs or Amiga clubs out there?? I would like to meet others with
Amigas...(*_*)
