Penn State¹s Coast to Coast Baton Camp
July 811, 1999

About the Camp

Penn State has designed a baton twirling camp for competition, show,
football field, and parade twirlers. The camp focuses on the goal to teach
all phases of twirling from beginner through advanced levels. The
instructors will provide personal lesson time to students attending
national competitions as well as routine development for parades and
majorette lines. Camp will be held, rain or shine, on the Penn State
Campus.

Goals

We will provide twirlers with a camp of twirling fun. This annual camp
focuses on the goal of teaching twirlers the fundamental styles of
marching and twirling that will enhance their individual and group
performances. In addition, we will encourage good sportsmanship by
enabling the twirlers to interact in a noncompetitive atmosphere. Two or
three baton classes will be offered. Twirlers must provide their own
batons.
