Upon completion of this program, the participants will be able to:

-Use laughter in the workplace to promote productivity.

-Describe methods to maintain skill competencies with staff.

-Incorporate community outreach programs to deliver services to all age groups.

-Initiate a telephone call center for health promotion and service surveys.

-Plan community education programs using creative formats.

-Describe the development of a rural nursing center to improve primary care for
underserved populations.

-Discuss rationale and methods for the development of an ethics committee in a
home health agency.

-Evaluate methods to create networks for care within communities.


WHO SHOULD ATTEND

This conference is directed to registered nurses, administrators, case
managers, nurse practitioners, and licensed practical nurses who provide
community health services in home health agencies, schools, clinics,
physicians offices, public health departments, and other community
settings.


KEYNOTE ADDRESS

Elaine M. Lundberg, M.A.
Ms. Lundberg is a humor therapist who has spoken at numerous conferences
for health care providers across the country.

Donna Peters, Ph.D., R.N., F.A.A.N.
Donna Peters is a senior product consultant for Delta Health Systems of
Altoona and is responsible for interpreting the needs of the home care
industry for the development of software systems for use in documentation.
