trouble with XMLspy

Hello,

Is anyone else having trouble getting started with XMLspy? I am getting this error:

Unable to load external DTD subset via 'file:....teams.dtd'. 'Well-formedness violation: Character '#' is grammatically unexpected'

Which when I search for trouble fixing the only advice given is to not use XMLspy.

Any thoughts or ideas are greatly appreciated.
