Hello all,

I'm Beatrise (Bibi) Robinson, an undergraduate student at Oakland University and convener for the “Seismology for All” session at the 2026 SSA Annual Meeting in Pasadena. The session focuses on expanding seismology/STEM engagement through accessibility, open data, and programs that support learners in geographically diverse regions.

To help inform the session, I’ve created a short, anonymous survey (13+, no PII, ~10–15 minutes) for gathering perspectives on barriers to entry, long‑term engagement in citizen seismology, and outreach ideas for K–12 and early‑college learners. This survey has already begun circulating organically across a few seismology and hobbyist communities.

The aggregated results will support my SSA presentation, “Student perspectives on increasing STEM engagement and lowering barriers to seismology.”
