Larry,
Before you read farther, this is a if/when you have time and if/when
you have frame of mind to what follows.
Thanks for the updated DspSdrUsb.zip for the 16 bit USB and Serial
board versions.
Is the source the same for the 4.x ignoring the obvious define for
USB on github for the 4.x 16 bit Serial Board PCB versions?
I know in prior reply you indicated you no longer have the software
for the 16 bit board versions in DspSdrUsb.zip to generate PDFs of
schematics from .sch files. If you have the .sch files would you be
willing to provide for the versions of 16 bit boards in
DspSdrUsb.zip? I may be able to find way to import and/or view
those .sch file schematics online if I know the software that was
used to create the .sch files. Then I can use those .sch files
I can view at least as basis to create KiCAD versions of those .sch
files.
The existing PDF schematics for 16 bit and 24 bit ADC boards are
just fine for me to create KiCAD schematics. For the alternate PCB
versions in DspSdrUsb.zip and if lucky if you have the .sch files
for the PCB board versions in DspSdrUsb.zip it will then be easy to
create the KiCAD versions using the PDF schematic files for 16 bit
board on github. Otherwise I need to determine if I can manually
create schematics with eCAD (KiCAD) from the gerber files
(error prone process by all accounts via research) for the 16 bit
boards in DspSdrUsb.zip. A small advantage in the manual convert
gerber files to schematic is having the PDF schematics of 16 bit
board V3.1 on github.
I like to create KiCAD versions of schematics then KiCAD PCBs of
respective PSN board 16 and 24 bit boards. Once I have, then I
will look into working on alternative ADC and related code for 24
bit board. The CS5532 is EOL for several months due to fab closing
causing many Cirrus Logic ICs EOL as result. I think the PSN
board design has very good future. Therefore to have a 24 bit board
using different ADC makes sense. There are some excellent 24 bit
ADC choices to the EOL CS5532 in my opinion.
The 16 bit board has some very endearing qualities related to the
LTC1605 that in my opinion still make the 16 bit board attractive.
