Trying to troubleshoot a digitizer problem where there is no data transmission. Just trying to close door at this time.

Is there a measurable voltage from the digitizer to the end of the USB cable that runs between the digitizer and computer, and if so what would I look for..

If no voltage is there, is there a way to ensure that the digitizer is working properly.

I would appreciate any help I can get to sovling these questions.

Thanks,

Bob Hancock

Bob, do you see a once per second LED flashing ? I think it either requires a clock synch from the computer
or a 1 second signal from the GPS receiver.

Jim - Yes, I see the flashing light. I am curious if there is a measurable voltage in the USB cable from the digitizer to the computer

Hmmm, not sure, Larry will probably need to address that answer. Hope that you are doing well.

Not really.

Yes, plug the board into a Windows system and see if the board shows up as a comm port in the device manager. If it does
show up run WinSDR to see if you can get any data out of the board.

What ADC board are you using? Does the ADC board you are using have a USB port or are you using a Serial to USB adapter?
If the board you are using has both a serial and usb port make sure the dip switches are set correctly for USB operation.

Hi Larry
I have your version 3 board in a case. It has a USB-B port on the front. The cable is a USB-B for the digitizer and the other end is a USB-A which plugs into the computer. I was wondering if there is measurable voltage at the USB-A end of the cable. Also, what is the flashing red light on the front panel of the digitizer telling me. The dip switches are correct because I have used this digitizer for many years with no problems.
Thanks,
Bob
