Hello,

I had to shut down my seismometer PC for a couple hours this morning. Now when new data comes in, it will be displayed for one hour and disappears and then a new line starts. Will I have to wait until the new line starts at the top now?

Hi,

This is because of corrupt data file. You need to rename the old file or delete it. You just need to do this for today data file.

Best regards,

It's very typical. I just keep restarting it and checking the display to see if it is still running. Jón Frímann is correct. However, I stay away from deleting files because the software will resolve the issues after a few restarts. I've also seen it happen sometimes for three or four days.

Jón is correct, Gary's problem is probably do to a corrupted daily record file. Depending on your display settings you
may need to delete either the current day's file and/or the previous day's file.

You can delete the files but you do need to stop WinSDR first. WinSDR will create new daily record files if needed. This
problem should only happen if WinSDR is shutdown unexpectedly like during a power failure or system crash.
