Hello,

I designed the enclosures for the PCB's I built according to Larry's plans using my CAD tool and printed them with a 3D printer.

Larry did a fantastic job for us. Besides all the hardware, the excellent integration with the outstanding WinSDR and WinQuake software deserves special mention. Everything worked perfectly for me when I tried to recreate it; many thanks to Larry..

See at the pictures of the PCBs with enclosures:

  • -    16-bit PCB "PSN-ADC-SERIAL & PSN-ADC-EQAMP" with RJ45 analog output connector
  • -     PCB "Seismic Amplifier/Filter"
  • -     24-bit PCB "PSN-ADC24" with modified output connector
  • -     I also designed and printed a 3D enclosure for mounting three 4.5Hz geophones from AliExpress and a connection for a fourth sensor, all with a shared RJ45 connection to the amplifier. I also find a holder for individual geophones with a 1/4-inch tripod mount, which I designed and printed, quite practical.
To complete the design, I also drew two enclosures for the PSN-ADC16 with DB25 input:
"One has an RS232 connection and the other a USB connection, both with the same height as the PSN-ADC24 and the amplifier/filter enclosure, but I haven't been able to test them yet"

If there is interest, I could provide the STL files for independent 3D printing and create a PDF table with the spacers and other components I used for simple plug-in assembly.

If there's a need, I could create a directory on my Synology server and provide a download link for a limited time. Or does anyone have another idea?.

As you can see, I've modified the last analog channel in each case for use with an IEPE accelerometer (with a lower cutoff frequency of 0.01 Hz, like the PCB-393B04 sensor, for example), and I've set some filters to an upper cutoff frequency of 1500 Hz. This allows me to process the signals via SPDIF in the frequency range from 1Hz to 1500 Hz online with my audio systems, which is very interesting for analyzing (amplitude and FFT) the local events.

For example, on July 30, 2025, at 3:42:35 AM, an earthquake of magnitude 3.1 occurred almost directly below me (only about 2km away), and I was able to record and listen to the thunderclap.

By selecting the SPS between 15 and 200 for a subsequent PSN-ADC24, the -3dB TP cutoff frequency is limited to between approximately 4 and 50 Hz.

With the PSN-ADC-SERIAL, I usually use an SPS of 500 (low-pass ca. 125 Hz).

Hello,

I've been thinking about how to make downloading easy and secure. So I've created all the files in a directory with a subfolder called Accessories and zipped the whole thing. Then I've made this "PSN-Case-STL's.zip <8.12MB>" file available for direct download on NAS using the following link:
