New web page, Flat Spring Seismometer

I think someone may be interested in my Flat Spring Seismometer. It has an unusual spring, set up mechanically so that peak response is at right angles to the plane containing the spring.

I have used the design for several years with excellent results.

It took me a while to understand that this was annealed to adopt a circular shape, then loaded enough to unroll flat.
Very nice idea!
