Research collaborations to advance social innovation in health in low- and middle- income countries, in partnership with the Social Innovation in Health Initiative (SIHI)

Universities or research institutes working on or having a strong interest in engaging in social innovation to enhance health-care delivery are invited to submit collaborative proposals where two or more institutions are forming an international consortium.
This call, issued by the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), is part of the recent engagement of TDR to advance social innovation in health.
Under this call, the total amount of US$ 300 000 will be used to fund institutional consortium proposals. Two to three proposals are anticipated to be selected for funding for one year, with an indicative budget of US$ 50 000 to US$ 150 000 for each proposal. Proposals should outline a concrete work plan for collaboration activities to advance social innovation in health in support of SIHI.
