How to pair the controller with the api?

I was able to get the api to run with the cmd prompt but now i am stumped as i cant get my controller to pair to my computer. I have tried with and without usb and have checked every source I can find but i still cant figure this out. Need help ASAP!

do you have a bluetooth adapter? if not then its not gonna work.

otherwise it should work, as you just connect it with an usb, run pair command and then disconnect the usb.
